5th Annual Scheuermann's Disease Fundraiser
We did it! We had a great turnout Sunday September 23rd, 2018, for our 5th Annual Fundraiser for the Scheuermann's Disease Fund!
There were WELL OVER 200 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE and we raised OVER $13,600 in DONATIONS! The Volunteers were tremendous, as always, and they deserve all the credit. There were 72 DONATIONS for the Chinese/Ticket Auction and 50 items provided by "1st and Goal Collectables".
A HUGE THANK YOU to all the DONORS OF THE CHINESE/TICKET AUCTION ITEMS. It was wonderful to see the tables full of fun baskets and tickets to Penguins games and OVER $1,000 IN GIFT CARDS!

- Our friends from the SD groups made it all the way to Pittsburgh for the event!
- After 4 years of being friends online, Ashlee Koontz and I finally were able to meet and spend time together. It was awesome! It was amazing that Ashlee and Mike Hunnicut traveled all the way from Atlanta to Pittsburgh for the event. In fact, Ashlee and Mike sat with my family during the fundraiser!
- Lewis Garren, Angela Garren, and MaKenzie Garren traveled all the way from Chicago, Il. It was wonderful to spend time together.
- Erin Brittingham, Tabitha Brittingham, and Tanner Norwood live in Laurel, DE and made it to the fundraiser.
- Erin was a huge winner in the Chinese/Ticket Auction (and we found time during the event to find some specialists closeby for her).
- Jennifer Greenwood, Cooper Waisberg, and Darrell Waisberg traveled internationally from Toronto, Ontario (CA)! Coop Waisberg even brought a product of his own making for our Auction, a cool indoor basketball backboard with foam basketball. It was a big hit! Also, Jennifer's son, Ethan Waisberg (medical school student) is now on our Advisory Board for the charity.
